Practitioner Profile

Jeanette W. Moy, is a renowned licensed acupuncturist, certified Herbalist, instructor and lecturer, who teaches workshops to the community while maintaining a busy private practice in South Burlington and Winooski, VT.

She earned her Master’s degree in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New York College for Health Professions in Syosset, NY. She completed postgraduate acupuncture and herbal training at Zhejiang Provincial Hospital in Hangzhou, China, and a Kanpo Herbal post-graduate apprenticeship in New York. Her undergraduate studies at Drexel University led to a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and over 10 years in Project Management experience.

Jeanette uses her years of experience in seeing the underlying patterns of disharmony, and applies her problem solving skills to bring back balance and well-being.

Jeanette has held faculty positions at the New York College and Green Mountain Institute of Oriental Medicine. In 2005, she held an academic dean position.  She lectures and conducts a variety of workshops through the University of Vermont Asian Studies Department, including topics as Eastern Philosophy and Health, Acupuncture and Acupressure, Healing with Chinese Herbs, Tai Chi and Qi Gong. She has presented many workshops to the community, to students, as well as to health care professionals. Topics of Ms. Moy’s published articles include the treatment of endometriosis and Kanpo: ancient art, modern herbal medicine.

Jeanette uses acupuncture and herbal medicine to treat a wide variety of conditions, including infertility and gynecological disorders, menopause, teenage acne, respiratory, gastrointestinal disorders, rheumatism, to manage pain and chronic viral conditions. Her practice involves treating patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. She is concerned with resolving immediate problems as well as treating the underlying imbalances. Jeanette values being involved in the total care of her patients, empowering patients to take an active role in their health, and learning techniques that will improve their quality of life leading them to live healthier lives.
